here's some bad news for Inter following last night's vital 2-1 win over Udinese. The injury that occurred to leading goalscorer Diego Milito, who was replaced with Mario Balotelli halfway through the second half yesterday, is more serious than initially thought.

The Argentinean striker suffered a strain to a muscle in his right leg, although it wasn't a recurrence of the niggle he picked up a week ago against Sampdoria.

Inter's official website emphasised that "this is not a recurring injury since the preceding problem (which prevented him from being available for the Champions League match at Rubin Kazan) had concerned his left leg."

The club have already communicated the result of the exam to the Argentine Football Federation and Milito will not take part in Los Albicelestes' World Cup qualifiers, while Inter will be missing the player for around a month.

The same fate has not befallen Lucio. The Brazilian defender only suffered a slight injury, although it's uncertain whether he'll take part in his country's own qualifying matches.
